Do you carry insurance?
Yes we have PLI for £5million as standard and equipment is PAT certified.
How much room is required?
We take up a small footprint and do not use 'goalpost' or 'lightbox wall'-style lighting.
Can you play alongside a band?
Yes this is a regular occurrence and we always give preference to the live act with regard to setup in order to maximise available space.
Is it cheaper when a band is also playing?
Sorry, no! The attendance time remains the same and we are still working.
Does Mojito Discotheque have lights?
Yes, it comes as a complete package and features 'intelligent lighting' and
uplighters for the room.
What about sound levels?
Many venues are now limited to a maximum level of 98db or lower to prevent sound spill.
We always conform to the required stipulation and although our PA sound levels could go very high, guest comfort and audio quality are always our main priorities.
What power requirements are needed?
This all depends on the size of venue but normally a few exclusive standard ring-main 13amp sockets will be sufficient.
Does the DJ have to talk?
All our DJs are professional voices so we know when to talk, and when not to (which is the majority of the time).
Apart from key moments and any special requests, it's the music that is our priority.
What music do you play?
There is a large collection of tracks available as standard but every party is different and often features client input which we happily programme in.
In general, we keep away from very cheesy or heavy beats - unless requested - so no gangsta rap or 'Birdies Song'!
Do you provide anything else apart from the Discotheque?
Yes, as part of a large sound company, we can supply additional speech and background audio systems if required.
The equipment is selected to suit the venue requirement from our massive inventory of Pro-Audio equipment.
What type of equipment is used?
There is so much hype by DJ companies about what is supplied.
We simply use Pro-Audio brands that do the job with no compromise. For those who are interested, systems include Technics, Pioneer, Allen& Heath, Denon, Martin Audio, HK Audio, Lab Gruppen and XTA.

When is the Discotheque set up?
This is usually 2 hours prior to the party start time but individual circumstances can change this and we are always flexible.
How far will you travel?
Our full Discotheque system can operate anywhere in the UK, but on longer-distance contracts, any additional fuel supplements and/or accommodation will be quoted in advance.
For Continental Europe, we supply a DJ playback facility only and all flights, expenses and hotel costs need to be arranged by the client.
What type of venues are difficult for installation?
Any venue that does not provide lift facilities for upper floor levels or drive-up access for marquees. Equipment arrives in wheeled flightcases which require a level, hard surface.
Portable systems can be supplied should access be limited, if specified in advance.
Where are you based?
We have bases and depots in both The Midlands and on the South Coast.
Do refreshments need to be provided?
Soft drinks or bottled water is always welcome but generally, no.
And we don't eat your buffet either!
